114 years ago on 6th March 1902
a club was founded, then known as Madrid Football Club, now it is known as Real
Madrid Club. It is nicknamed as Blancos (Whites), Merengues (Meringues) and
Vikingos (Vikings). Short name is RM. The home ground for this very team is
Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Chairman for RM is florentino Perez and manager is
Zinedine Zidane.
The RM team has always worn white home kit
as a tradition. In 1920 the king Alfonso XIII awarded The Madrid Club with the
name REAL and a crown in the emblem. RM has managed to prove itself as a huge
force in Spanish and European football during the 1950s. this club reached the
finals of European Cup 7 times and won the same cup five times that too
consecutive.

RM was recognised as the FIFA Club of the
20th century on 23 December 2000. And was named the best club of the
20th century by the IFFHS on 11th May 2010. Club leads

The first president of the RM club was
Julian Palacios (1900-1902). In 1929
